Elm Creek Winter Recreation Area

Great place for Winter activities including snow tubing, Cross Country skiing and down hill skiing. There is also a small sledding hill next to the swimming pond on the north side of the park. All the employees who I have interacted with are great, very professional and polite as well. Ski Chalet is great for gathering your friends and family, warming up near the fireplace and concessions available at posted times as well. I would highly recommend this venue for my winter activities. Also you can hike along the trails with your friends, family and dogs too.

What an amazing place to take beginners to learn! $20 lift tickets and $22 rentals, SCORE! We went on a Saturday during Christmas break and there were no lines! Everyone working here was super friendly and nice. Only thing missing were some chairs/benches outside and a fire pit. Could really go for sitting outside in the sunshine by a nice fire pit for a little break.

Love this place! Tubing, snowboarding, skiing, cross country skiing! We did the snow tubing and they had 10 nicely groomed lanes and even at max capacity there was not that long of a wait. Easy to go online and reserve your two hour time slot which is plenty of time. Staff was friendly and helped give a push to start off if needed.

My daughter and her BFF wanted to do some snow tubing and we decided to try the Elm creek recreation area. They had a blast and I would highly recommend to anyone looking to get excess energy out of their tiny humans

So much fun for a first time tuber! He was scared at first, but after that first time down the hill he was ready to go again!

Outstanding time taking the kids and their friends tubing at the park. Park employees super friendly and helpful doing the little things that make all the difference. For example, my son had to switch out his tube because one of the handles were broken. Employee that grabbed a new tube knew that the color mattered to a 7 year old and dug down the stack to get the same color. . Helping push down the hill when needed and staff at the bottom of the hill keeping some of the other kids on the hill in line when they were getting a bit crazy. All around great time and very well run site.

Great place for the whole family. Fairly priced. Decent amenities. Not very long wait times on the tubing hill.

Yet another amazing suburban park to enjoy the wonders of Minnesota winter! I went tubing with my husband and another friend, during a winter storm watch 12/28, and it was awesome! It was definitely slow, so can't speak to how long lines would be when busy, but we were able to do 9+ tubing runs in an hour or so. They have 8 or 9 segregated lanes (safe tubing!) and a nice conveyor belt to take you and your tube up. The chalet was a nice spot to warm up if needed, and although we didnt get any food, the options are typical and not crazy overpriced (it was like $5 or $6 for a burger). Definitely worth the $18 for 2 hours of tubing! The ski/snowboarding hill looked fun as well, great for beginners. Definitely want to rent some equipment and try cross-country skiing in the future. And yes, this park reserve is massive and open all year, but the winter rec area is fantastic!
